Back-blogging (January - March)

I can't believe I haven't posted anything on our family blog in 5 months! I guess we have just been having too much fun to stop and document everything :)

The highlight of January was when my cousin, Helen, came to visit from San Diego. She and her two adorable children, Ian and Ella, joined her in her adventures to Mississippi. Ella and Emma Claire are only 3 weeks apart, so it was fun to see the two of them together. My Uncle Paul and Aunt Marguerite stayed in a cottage near the coast for the month of January. While Helen and the kids were in town, we had a family reunion at the cottage. It was great to have everyone together after so long!

February marked the end of the "gummy smile" for Emma Claire. After many tears and much pain, EC's first tooth broke through on February 8. Three more were quick to follow. I guess she was making up for being toothless for 10 months! Now that she had teeth coming in, she found a new favorite food...biscuits! Chris and I will occasionally take her on Saturday mornings to eat a biscuit at ChickFila. She is such a big girl!

Emma Claire sure was a sweet valentine to steal sugar from this year.

Emma Claire attended her first parade during the Irish Italian Festival on March 17. For those of you who don't know about the festival, it is a huge celebration hosted by our church, St. Thomas. Our priest is from Ireland and holds a big celebration every year during St. Patrick's Day. This was our first year to attend, and we had such a blast!

"Throw me something, mister!"

We had a major milestone on March 21 when Emma Claire took her first steps! She had been attempting to walk for a few weeks, but this was the first time she walked across her room. Let the chasing begin! She is into EVERYTHING!

The month of April was so ridiculously busy that it most certainly requires its own post. Maybe even two!

Here are a few more pictures from January-March.

I can't get enough snuggle time with this sweet girl.
