Then I picked out the furniture. I saw this crib and dresser before we knew what we were having and I knew if we had a girl, I would want this furniture. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it! I also picked the ultimate glider and ottoman. I plan on spending a lot of time feeding (and probably sleeping) in this chair, so I wanted something big and comfy that Daisy could sit with me in, because let's face it, I know she will be right by my side making sure I am taking good care of her baby sister! The chair has been ordered and I will post pictures as soon as it arrives!

And then the collection of "stuff" began! From blankets and toys to bibs and bottles, Emma Claire already has quite a collection of frilly, girly, preciously pink and green stuff :)
My mom gave me the pillow made out of her fabrics for Christmas. E Claire has ended up with a lot of giraffe toys! The giraffe story is kind of funny....when we found out I was pregnant, I started looking at blog designs. There was a pink giraffe print blog that I LOVED and the name of the design was "Claire", which I guess is when I fell in love with that name. A few days later, a friend at work gave me my baby's first stuffed animal...a giraffe! A few other family friends have given Emma Claire giraffe toys and stuffed animals. I guess it is going to be her favorite animal!
This changing table is going to be used in the nursery at my mom and dad's, but I am using to hold all of Emma Claire's gifts until her furniture arrives.
This precious strawberry dress and matching shoes and sunglasses came from Emma Claire's Aunt Miranda (my little sister in tri delta) and her mom. I was not surprised at all when I opened the box to find heart-shaped sunglasses :) Aunt Miranda wants to make sure Emma Claire is all glamourous!
Chris' nursery contribution: a 19" tv to stream nursery music and Disney movies in Emma Claire's room. I found the pink cross at a store in town and thought it was perfect for her room! We are going to paint and refinish the table once we get the rest of her furniture in. Emma Claire is inheriting many of my stuffed animals :)
As I sit in her room, I close my eyes and picture how everything will look when it is all put together. I can't wait for her nursery to be complete :)
The next step: the closet project! She has a growing collection of clothes, so Chris is going to double rack her closet to make lots of room for all her precious tiny clothes :)
