We won the Lottery!!!

When I got home from work today, I stopped at the mailbox to grab the mail. Among all the junk there was one envelope that made my jaw drop. The return address of "Augusta National Golf Club" printed in that signature green brought on a whole new wave of pregnancy nausea. I sat in my car in the middle of the street and ripped it open. For all the years we had been in the lottery to get tickets to the Masters, we have never EVER gotten this letter in the mail.

Most of you know our good fortune with Augusta. I feel as if I somewhat grew up on Amen Corner gawking at the beautiful azaleas behind the green of #12. And luckily for Chris, he found a wife who shares this passion for the Taj Mahal of golf courses - Augusta National. It has only been through the generosity of friends and family who were unable to use their tickets that we have been able to go to the Masters over the past several years. April in Augusta is a time that I cherish not only because of the beauty of the course and the handcut greens, but also because my dad is "in his prime" during Masters week. As a volunteer for 30 years at the Masters, he has enough stories to tell and memories to share to write a 300 page book! I adore the time I get to spend with him on the 12th tee box during the Masters.

Today is evidence that God has quite a sense of humor. With a due date of April 12, only fate would have it that we were selected to receive tickets to the Masters the ONE year we absolutely cannot go! Unbelievable.
